Sudan makes a decision to check the identity of the returnees

Port Sudan – A meeting chaired by a member of the Sovereign Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, stressed the arrangements for returning to Sudan who were displaced by the war, in the presence of a number of ministers and leaders of the security services, to check the security of the people in the crossings.

The Minister of Culture and Information, Khaled Al -Esir, said that the meeting secured the role of the state in facilitating the return of refugees and creating the appropriate environment in the crossings to preserve the dignity of the Sudanese man.

He pointed out that the meeting discussed health and medical equipment in the crossings and providing services, and also touched on the possibility of using the river transport of returnees besides land and air transport.

The team, Yasser Mohamed Othman, Director of the General Administration of Crossings and border ports, explained that the number of returnees from Egypt to Sudan reached more than one hundred and five thousand Sudanese citizens.

He called for the importance of rehabilitating the Ashtit and two -sized crossings and coordination with the relevant embassies and the High Commissioner for Refugees to facilitate the return of the Sudanese.
