The Sudanese government warns gold traders

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Ahmed Sayed Ahmed Omar, Director of the Specifications and Metrology Sector, in the state of Nile, northern Sudan, warned the owners of the shops against the gold display without sealing the Sudanese Authority for Specifications and Metrology.

He said that the violation of this exposes its owner to legal accountability and that the owners of the shops should not buy gold from the owners of the workshops and distributors unless it is sealed from the specifications.

She invited the owners of the workshops to improve their work and not to seal or indicate a number or phrase on the busy and if this is done, they will present themselves to legal accountability.

The Authority recommended that the consumers not to buy any gold, not sealed with the seal of the body.

She said that the sector has examined and sealed a ton and a half of the tons of gold and local artifacts in the past six months, in confirmation of the role of the Sudanese Authority for Standards and Metrology in the process of controlling the gold and ensuring its conformity with international standards.
