The Minister of Finance determines the date for the start of transferring funds via SMS

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Gabriel Ibrahim, Minister of Finance, said that there is stability in the exchange rate despite the war and the government has a surplus in agricultural production, and indicated that the finance is considering introducing the largest amount of cash bloc outside the banks of banks.

He said during a press conference that the Ministry of Finance has seized the opportunity to replace the currency and entered government institutions to deal electronically to achieve significant progress in dealing through electronic money, and this helps in transparency and increasing revenues.

He added, “We had contacts regarding the reconstruction, and a Saudi delegation will arrive tomorrow in this regard.”

He said that the militia has gold mines, a committee has been formed to be inventory since last May, as well as a gold mine in Songo, South Darfur, is still working until now despite the mine’s bombing by the warplanes more than once.

Gabriel said that telecommunications companies promised to provide money transfer service via SMS (without internet) at the end of next April, stressing that one of the companies is ready now.

He explained during the seventeenth enlightening conference of the Ministry of Culture and Information organized by the Sudan News Agency this evening in the guarantee tower, that the process of digital transformation is an ongoing process and that the state is heading towards the electronic government.
