The dollar is approaching the 3000 -pound barrier in a sudden jump

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The exchange rates of the US dollar and other foreign currencies recorded a big and surprising leap against the Sudanese pound, in the trading of the parallel market in the city of Port Sudan, the temporary administrative capital, where the price of the US dollar against the Sudanese pound reached 2831.76 pounds.

Expectations will exceed a barrier of 3000 pounds before the end of the week

Traders suggested that the price of the dollar would exceed the 3000 barrier at the end of the current week, and thus the value of the pound has deteriorated, by more than 490% since the war began in Sudan in April 2023 AD.

The major increases come amid the continuation of the state of economic fluctuation that hinder the ability of the monetary authorities to control the market, in light of a corresponding critical crisis caused by the repercussions of the war that has continued since April 2023, the decline in confidence in the official banking system, and the expansion of irregular transfers.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian pound continued to rise against the Sudanese pound in transfers through banking applications or unofficial trading, as it reached 59 pounds, while it is circulating more than that, with expectations that the 60 -pound barrier will exceed the end of the week.
