The Meteorological Authority issues a warning: they prepared emergency bags

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudanese General Meteorological Authority issued an important alert and recommendations for all the people of Sudan during the rainy season, which called for preparing and equipping emergency bags.

She said that due to the start of the rainy season, the Sudanese Meteorological Center would like to warn you of possible weather changes and the challenges that various regions of the country may face and aim to protect your lives and property.

The center called on citizens to pay attention to increasing rain and humidity in most areas, including areas that are usually dry.

He noted that strong winds and sandstorms, especially in desert and northern regions, high temperatures on the eastern coast, with the expectation of high humidity and hot atmosphere, the risk of sudden floods, especially in low areas, valleys, and weak infrastructure.

And he issued recommendations for public safety, most notably the follow -up of updates and weather conditions continuously through this page or official sources, to prepare emergency bags, and make sure that there are drinking water, food, and basic medicines.

He added, “Do not approach the areas flooded with water or open sewers, and beware of crossing the flooded roads in order to preserve your safety, follow safety and caution guidelines when driving vehicles, reduce speed, and avoid the damaged or flooded roads.

He continued, “Keep you protect yourself from sandstorms or dust, using masks or protective masks when the need for breathing materials.

Make sure to secure your homes, especially movements that can be moved or coup, and close the doors and windows well, keep contact with family members and neighbors, and know about their gatherings and family emergency plans.

He noted that the people in rural or overflowing areas are recommended, it is advised to avoid descending to the valleys and low areas except when necessary, and the use of means of communication for early alert.

The center directed special advice for communities with weak infrastructure, which was to remove waste and dirt that may hinder water drainage, prepare for the risks of water -transmitted diseases, and the need for personal hygiene and maintain the cleanliness of the surrounding areas.

He called for community participation, if you notice unexpected floods or air changes, please share photos and reports with the competent authorities to help improve early warning services.
