Sudan signs a million scholarship from China

Last May, the China Embassy in Sudan has officially announced the project to reduce poverty and support for the agricultural sector in the state of the Red Sea in Sudan, with funding from the China Fund for Global Development and Cooperation between the countries of the South and implemented by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, as it provides important assistance to livelihoods of tens of thousands of farmers, sponsors and local fishermen.

She said in a statement on her official page that this project focuses on ways to live people and provides emergency assistance such as seeds, agricultural machines, fishing equipment for farmers, shepherds, young hunters and mediums affected by the conflict

She noted that the project will benefit more than 8,000 families, which helps solve the food and clothes problem for more than 40,000 people. Meanwhile, more than 360,000 farmers, sponsor and hunters are expected to benefit indirectly from public luxury activities such as animal epidemics and water gatherings management.

Implementing the outputs of the proof to Beijing

Mohamed Bashar, Undersecretary of Planning at the Ministry, said that the signing of the agreement comes in the context of implementing the outcomes of the President of the Sovereign Council in the work of the China -Africa Cooperation Forum, which was held in Beijing in September 2024.

He explained that the grant will be employed for the basic services sector represented in health ‘water and education as the priorities of the current stage. He praised China’s continuous efforts to support development in Sudan.

While Xiangua indicated that the grant is an executive step for a common mechanism between the two countries in advance to coordinate and follow up the implementation of the outputs of the Beijing Summit and implement the grant allocated to Sudan under the declaration of the Chinese President during the summit. Pointing to the continuation of the mechanism and seeking a detailed plan for the needs of Sudan and its priorities, stressing China’s interest in activating and deepening economic cooperation relations with Sudan and participating in development projects and reconstruction according to priorities Required.

In a related context, Dr. Bashar for his recent participation – representative of Sudan – in the annual meetings of the Asian Bank for Investment in Beijing in Beijing, during which he met the new president -elect for the bank Madame Zo Yan, revealing its promise to grant a special advantage for Sudan in the future of financing and investments allocated from the bank for infrastructure, and expressed Dr. Bashar from his hope that the bank will be the best supporter of Sudan in the reconstruction of what the war destroyed.
