Innovative human beings from the International Atomic Energy Agency for Sudan

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Sudan announced the start of meetings with the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, Austria, through the Sudanese Ministry of Health with the Sudan’s cancer plan, especially the following radiotherapy and atoms with the participation of the regional office of the World Health Organization.

Sudan is represented in these meetings, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, Minister and Representative of Sudan, Ambassador Magdi Mufaddal and a number of leaders of the Ministry concerned with the file of cancer services in Sudan, in addition to the representative of the Atomic Agency in Sudan.

Sudan offers an international agency’s offer on oncology hospitals

The work of the first day began with the development of the work program, which included Sudan’s presentation on the current health situation, especially oncology hospitals and what caused by the war, as well as the presentation of the axes and projects that the International Atomic Energy Agency for the current stage 2026-2027 as well as for the strategic plan until 2030.

Is it expected that the meetings contribute to improving the radiotherapy service in Sudan?

Sudan also presented a presentation on the state’s support for cancer treatment and treatment centers supervised by the National Center for Oncology, and meetings will continue on the x -ray initiative that Sudan joined in the year 2022, as Sudan represented the time of the Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, and this initiative is expected to contribute to improving radiotherapy services in Sudan.
