A sudden joint agreement between the National Umma Party and the Minawi Movement

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The National Umma Party and the Sudan Liberation Movement issued the leadership of Mona Arko Minawi, a joint statement after the meeting of the sixth of July 2025 AD in the inclusion of a large delegation led by the head of the Umma Party in charge of Muhammad Abdullah Al-Doma with leaders of the Sudan Liberation Movement led by Minawi, at his home in Port Sudan.

The statement, which was seen by (Al -Zawiya Net), said that the meeting discussed the political current in Sudan with all its complications with frankness and clarity, prepared with the conventions that bring them together in the march of national action.

He pointed out that Sudan is going through an accurate stage of internal and external targeting that requires the advancement of the construction of a broad national front to face dangers in a spirit of responsibility.

The two parties agreed to do specialized work to discuss all issues, and it was agreed that the party and the movement are working to revitalize all the political, societal and civil forces to play their roles to get out of the current crisis and put the country on the threshold of democratic transition

A memorandum of understanding between the National Umma Party and the Minawi Movement

The National Umma Party and the Minawi Movement have good historical relations, as memoranda of understanding was previously signed between the two parties, most notably in the year 2012 AD, when a memorandum of understanding was signed between the movement and the party led by the late Sadiq Al -Mahdi.

Where the agreement stressed that Sudan be a democratic civil state based on equality between citizens, recognition of the religious, ethnic and cultural diversity, and the approval of the principle of equal citizenship for the whole population.

He adopted a federal government system, the availability of public and personal freedoms, the promotion and protection of human rights, the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary, the peaceful circulation of power, the restructuring of the army, the return of refugees and the displaced to their original areas and their compensation for all the damages they suffered, and the presentation of the perpetrators of Darfur crimes to justice, and that the ruling in the transitional period on a federal president Provinces, and four levels of rule are: federal, regional, state and local, and to represent all regions in the Presidency Foundation.
