Sudan Electricity reveals a huge station with “solar energy”

Dongola- Al-Zawiya Net- The Director General of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Urban Development received in the northern state, Minister-designate Mohamed Sayed Ahmed Faqiri, a delegation of the Renewable Energy Department of the Sudan Electricity Holding Company.

Solar power station with a capacity of 20 megawatts

The Director of the Technical Services Department of the General Administration of Renewable and alternative Energys at the Sudan Electricity Holding Company, Sami Al -Bila Abdul Qadir, announced that the purpose of the Al -Huqaf visit in the field is on a site to establish a solar power plant with a capacity of 20 megawatts, hoping that the project will be implemented during the coming months in the service of the state’s person.

The meeting was in the presence of the Minister of Finance in charge of Amir Hassan Al -Bashir and the Minister of Production and Economic Resources in charge of Engineer Othman Ahmed Othman.

The Director General of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Urban Development, Minister -designate Mohamed Sayed Ahmed Faqiri, explained the importance of solar energy as an alternative energy, especially after the targeting suffered by the stations and electricity transformers by the rebel rapid support militia, adding that tomorrow will be prepared for the recommendation required for the project site, which is a real addition to the energies in the state and serves the agricultural and industrial sectors.

The minister in charge affirmed the interest of the governor of the northern state, Lieutenant -General Abdel Rahman Abdel Hamid, in Halalah, energy problems in the state, especially in the agricultural sector.

For his part, the Minister of Production and Economic Resources, Othman Ahmed Othman, confirmed their visit, accompanied by the visiting delegation of the proposed location of the project, which was completely approved, adding that the project serves the agricultural sector, especially with the approaching winter season.
