Port Sudan- Al-Zawiya Net- The Red Sea State, in eastern Sudan, signed a contract with the Real Estate Company in the State of Kuwait to establish and operate the Arous Tourist Resort, north of Port Sudan.
And signed by Sudan, Muhammad Ali Kejir, Director General of the Ministry of Finance, and on the Kuwaiti Real Estate Company, Mazen Essam Hawa, in the presence of the Red Sea Governor, Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Nour and the sisterly ambassador of the State of Kuwait in Sudan, Dr. Fahd Al -Dhafiri.
13 billion dollars in Kuwait’s investments in Sudan until 2019
Kuwait is one of the Gulf states that have investments in Sudan and old economic relations, most notably Zain Sudan, and in 2019 a senior official in the Kuwaiti government revealed that Kuwaiti investments in Sudan amount to about 13 billion dollars, noting that the unrest in the state prompted Kuwaiti investors to anticipate the situation since last January and not to pump any new money in the market.
The official said at the time, according to Al -Arabi Al -Jadeed, that Kuwaiti investments are ranked third in the Sudanese market, after Saudi Arabia and the UAE, in terms of the size of foreign direct investments.

Kuwait investments are distributed between economics and communications
The Kuwaiti official said that Kuwaiti investments in Sudan are distributed over the sectors of communications, livestock, food industries, banks and real estate, pointing out that Zain is one of the largest companies in the telecommunications sector, and that there are contributions to the Kinana Sugar Company, through the General Investment Authority that owns 33 percent of the company, in addition to the contributions of the private sector in many industrial and agricultural projects.
The Sovereign Council praises the durability of relations between Kuwait and Sudan
Meanwhile, a member of the Transitional Sovereign Council d. Nawara Abu Muhammad Muhammad Taher with the durability of bilateral relations between Sudan and the State of Kuwait, and expressed her appreciation for the positions of the State of Kuwait supporting the Sudanese people in regional and international forums, as well as its efforts in addressing the effects of the human war.
The sovereign member, upon her meeting, added the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait in Sudan, Ambassador Dr. Fahd Al -Dhafiri, in the presence of the governor of the Red Sea State, while most countries have restricted their efforts in Sudan to provide humanitarian aid. The State of Kuwait was distinguished by entering investments, and the stage of humanitarian aid exceeded and encouraged investment.
Sudan confirms its keenness to provide the attractive environment for investments
Dr. Nawara affirmed the government’s keenness to provide an attractive environment for investment and the development of all economic sectors, praising the partnership of the Kuwait Investment Company and Kuwait Real Estate Company with the Red Sea State through the Arous Tourist Resort project, which is one of the projects to upgrade the tourism sector in Sudan.
For his part, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Sudan, Dr. Fahad Al -Dhafiri said that his meeting with the Sovereignty Council gave a good impression of safety and encouragement to attract more investments and Kuwaiti capital across the private sector to Sudan in general and the states of the East in particular in order to establish investment and development projects in confirmation of Kuwait’s developmental and humanitarian role.
The Kuwaiti Ambassador described the bride resort as the vital project, noting that the Kuwaiti company, through partnership with the Red Sea State, ensures the implementation of 80% of the project through the establishment of the infrastructure, which is a tourist hotel, a residential area and energy projects with the aim of attracting tourism to Port Sudan.
In addition, the Red Sea Governor, Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Nour, praised the attention and follow -up of the Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Dr. Nawara with development and services projects in the state, explaining that a bride project is based on a partnership between the state and the Kuwait Real Estate Company, which will contribute to the development of the region and increase the chances of tourist attraction in the state.
