Corruption in a combat car deal in northern Sudan

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The General Union of Al-Mahs (Masseri) has revealed corruption in a combat cars deal from social responsibility money to secure the Dilo local in northern Sudan.

He said in a statement: In order to ensure the security of the citizen and the safety of the land of civilizations, we would like to put in your hands the details of the steps and coordination about the allocation of social responsibility funds.

He affirmed that the General Union was invited by the popular resistance to attend an expanded consultative meeting, in which the executive and security services participated, where a request for allocating part of the money of social responsibility to buy combat vehicles and weapons was submitted to secure the local in light of the critical security situation.

He added, “Accordingly, the relevant authorities were consulted, and the administrative units and the local committee agreed to allocate the amount, and a supreme committee was formed that undertook the task of purchasing urgently.

The statement indicated that the committee moved to the city of Al -Dabba, and purchased (8) Land Cruiser vehicles from one of the exhibitions, and the committee members stipulated that the vehicles be from the 2020 model or higher.

He stressed that after the vehicles received that (4) vehicles do not match the required model, not knowing the individual price for each vehicle, the absence of documents and identification documents, the presence of notes on the high financial value compared to the market prices.

He pointed out that an emergency meeting of the committee was held, and the representatives of the Union presented their next vision, “The necessity of returning the four vehicles that violate the specifications, review the exhibition on prices and documents, in the event of lack of understanding, the vehicles are returned in full.

He pointed out that despite the initial agreement to return, some members insisted on adopting the violating vehicles, which led to the dispute over views within the committee.

He added, “Accordingly, the Executive Office announces the following, holding a decisive meeting of the Community Responsibility Money Committee on Saturday, July 5, 2025, to make a final decision to return all vehicles based on official observations.

The General Union of Al -Mahsa’s skewers held fully moral responsibility in front of its societies, its full commitment to preserving the money and property of the people who were put in place in his hands.
