Does the train return to Gedaref?

The governor of Al -Qadarif, in charge of Lieutenant General Mohamed Ahmed Hassan Ahmed, discussed with a delegation from the Sudan Railways Authority headed by the Director General of the Authority, Eng. Musa Al -Jahidi, a number of issues and issues related to the return of the railway line that links the states of the eastern, central and west of the country through the Gedaref State.

The two sides discussed the ways to remove obstacles on the Sixty Street in the city of Gedaref, the present of the state, and the rates of distribution of land reservations on both sides of the road and other relevant issues.

For his part, the governor of Al -Qadarif affirmed the commitment of his government with everything that follows to implement the agreement that will be reached through the joint technical committee between the state and the authority.

He called for the establishment of a new path for the railway to pass outside the city of Gedaref, as well as the establishment of a passenger station and travelers outside the city according to the latest civilizational specifications.

He pointed out the importance of the railway line in linking the states to each other beside its role in linking production areas to the markets and export ports in the service of the national economy.

For his part, the Director General of the Sudan Railways Authority described the session of their discussions with the Gedaref government as successful and fruitful in which a joint vision was reached to serve the state and the authority.

He pointed out that the sessions of consultation through the joint technical committee will continue until the final formula will be signed by Mr. Al -Wali and the Director General of the Authority.
