The proof of “Presidents” at an international conference: We do not ask for sympathy for you

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The President of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said that Sudan has taken important steps in its career towards civil stability, through the appointment of a civilian prime minister of the cabinet in the transitional civil government.

In his speech before the Fourth International Conference on Financing Seville – Spain), he noted that this appointment reflects Sudan’s fixed will to complete state institutions and promote democratic civil transition in preparation for building a better future for the people.

He noted that Sudan is going through an exceptional circumstance, as it suffers from the repercussions of a devastating aggressive war that erupted in April 2023, following the law -out of the law and the state institutions, which led to a widespread destruction of the basic infrastructure and an acute humanitarian crisis.

He added, “Despite these grave tribulations, the people of Sudan are still adhering to hope, and wanting to engage in constructively with the international community to rebuild its afflicted country and achieve the aspirations of development and peace and the defeat of all plans to conspire and target.”

He continued, “We do not ask for temporary sympathy or assistance. Rather, we demand sustainable support based on real fairness and a fair international system, which enables Sudan to advance and fulfill its development obligations.”

He said that the Sudan crisis has demonstrated that there is no doubt that the current global financial system needs radical reform in order to achieve justice, balance and fair representation of developing countries in decision -making centers.

He continued, “We need a more just and more comprehensive international financial system that reflects the aspirations and interests of the developing countries, and gives it an active voice in drawing international policies.

We also call for reforming global financial institutions to make them more flexible and able to respond to the rapid response of crises and sustainable development requirements.
