New details about the collapse of a mining mine northern Sudan and urgent decisions

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Ltd., held an emergency meeting to discuss the repercussions of the partial collapse incident that took place inside a traditional well in the Aman Ain-Film mining mine in the desert area of ​​Huwaid, located between the cities of Atbara and Haya, in the state of the Red Sea.

The meeting reviewed the initial reports received from the accident site, which confirmed the death of 11 traditional metal and wounding 7 others with varying injuries, after a precise field investigation and coordination with the competent authorities.

The company represented in the environment and safety management had previously stopped work in the mine and warned against continuing the activity inside it due to the great risk of lives renewed in this regard, warning it against work in the sites that were announced to be suspended in order to preserve the safety of citizens and local societies.

The company went an urgent field commission to the accident site as soon as it occurred to determine the situation and follow up the procedures in coordination with the local and security authorities.

The company confirmed that it will carry out its duties according to what is required by national and humanitarian responsibility and in coordination with the relevant authorities
