Strategic and political expert, Osama Mahdi, revealed that a severe financial crisis within the ranks of the rapid support militia has aggravated, indicating that the delay in salaries for more than ten days led to a wave of increasing discontent among the fighters, who consider money the main incentive for their continued fighting.

The expert emphasized that rapid support is facing financial pressure due to the delay in financing from the United Arab Emirates, in addition to the accumulation of debts resulting from the purchase of offensive aircraft deals from Ukraine, which reflected negatively on the morale of the combat elements.

He explained that “the debt towards Ukraine caused severe financial bottlenecks among the Rapid Support Forces, which made the leadership unable to fulfill the financial obligations towards its soldiers, who have not received their salaries for more than ten days. He added: For the majority of these fighters, nothing links them to the battle except money.”

Ukraine continues to supply despite the crisis

Despite the delay in payment, the expert confirmed that Kiev is still committed to the supply of drones to the Rapid Support Forces. He said: “Ukraine looks at this conflict as an opportunity to promote its products from war marches, and rapid support is an effective propaganda platform for its military industrial complex, even if it is in favor of groups accused of being linked to al -Qaeda and ISIS.”

He added that they know that they will eventually receive their money, whether from rapid support, from the Emirates, or from other sponsors of the conflict.

Security escape and internal disintegration

According to the expert Osama Mahdi, this crisis led to actual splits between the militia ranks, as a number of fighters fled the fighting fronts and some of them began selling their weapons in the black markets, in a clear indication of the weak internal control.

Recently, looting and armed robbery against civilians in areas under the control of rapid support threatening a wave of massive security escaping, especially in light of the erosion of the disciplinary structure within the militia.

Rapid support driving in danger

In a remarkable development, the expert revealed that Abdel Rahim Daklo, the deputy commander of the Rapid Support Forces, is facing serious threats from angry elements within the militia, which led him to buy the developed French protection system “Alex” and his installation on his armored vehicles, amid tight security reinforcements from the Muhairi fighters and foreign mercenaries.

The expert considered that “these moves reflect the escalating anxiety of the Supreme Command from a potential internal rebellion that may strike the militia’s leadership structure.”

A mysterious future amid the continuation of the war

The strategic expert, Osama Mahdi, warned that the current crisis may be the beginning of the collapse of rapid support and the continuation of the fighting is no longer a strategic choice only, but rather an existential necessity, as the spoils and looting are used as a way to compensate the fighters for the absence of salaries.

He concluded by saying that if the conflict has declined or the financing stops, a mass escape may hit the militia, with the possibility of its elements to the foci of other conflict in Africa, where the demand is still based on mercenary services.
