Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudan Embassy in Addis Ababa announced the start of work at the Center for Passports and Hijri Affairs, which will officially begin to provide its services to Sudanese citizens residing in Ethiopia and crossing citizens, starting on Wednesday 25 June 2025 at ten in the morning.
She said that the center will first start issuing passports at a rate of 30 passports per day, while starting the civil registry procedures and the national number at a later stage after completing the necessary technical arrangements. Details related to these procedures will be announced at a later time.
The embassy called for the need to register via the WhatsApp number (+251975888444) with the need to bring the previous passport or the national number, as well as attend the service applicant personally.
The embassy also stressed the necessity of submitting a translated loss certificate in the event of a passport loss, and obtaining the approval of one of the parents in the event that the service applicant is less than 18 years. The embassy also set the fees required to extract the passport by $ 250 for adults (18 years and over) and $ 125 for children.
