An immediate decision from Egypt regarding the “Halfaya and Shambat” bridges and the major Dubasin

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudanese ambassador to Cairo, Imad Al-Din Adawi, revealed in press statements about Sudan’s agreement with the Egyptian Ministry of Transport on the immediate start of the implementation of two bridges that were destroyed by the rebel militia attacks in addition to resuming work in a third bridge that previously stumbled.

The step aims to restore the vital link between Khartoum and Omdurman and reflects an accelerated Sudanese-Egyptian cooperation in infrastructure files.

The National Authority for Roads and Bridges agreed with the General Authority for Roads and Bridges in the Republic of Egypt, that the Egyptian Ministry of Transport carried out the work of consulting studies necessary to rehabilitate the Shambat and Halfaya bridges in the state of Khartoum.

The Sudanese Ambassador to Egypt, Imad Al -Din Mustafa, said that the government of Sudan appreciates the directives of the Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister Kamel Abdel -Hadi on supporting the Sudanese government’s efforts to rehabilitate the bridges of Shambat and Halfaya.
