The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs reveals the seriousness of what “Sumoud” is doing

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that it follows the movements of the so-called “steadfastness” in Africa, and it is one of the “political arms of the regional authority sponsoring the terrorist militia”, in order to find a political exit for the “militia” after its successive military defeats and the Sudanese people rejected it because of the atrocities and violations it committed.

She said in a statement that “steadfastness” has no popular bond and represents only its members, and contributed to creating the political atmosphere that led to the outbreak of the war, and identified with the demands of the “militia” rapid support to remain a parallel army for a period of not less than 10 years, and granting it legitimacy to establish the so -called government parallel to signing a political agreement with it in January 2024 that included the establishment of a civil administration in the areas occupied by the “militia.”

The Foreign Ministry indicated that “Sumoud” refused to participate in the African Union of Civil Political Powers meeting in August 2024, in a desire to monopolize the representation of civilians, and also rejects the recent positive directions of the Union towards Sudan.

She emphasized that the Sudanese government rejects any dealings from African countries with this “isolated group” or opened platforms for them, and will establish their relations with these countries based on their support for national legitimacy and their standing alongside the Sudanese people in the “battle of dignity”
