Hamdouk invites the President of South Africa

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- A delegation of the Democratic Civil Forces Alliance met “Samoud”, headed by Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk, President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramafuza, at the Presidential Palace in Pretoria, in the presence of Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola.

During the meeting, the delegation reviewed the developments of the situation in Sudan, highlighting the war that has continued since April 2023, and the humanitarian catastrophe that caused the largest in the world.

The delegation called on President Ramafuza to play an active role in the efforts to bring peace, invest the political and regional heavy weight of South Africa to support the end of the war, and to restore the path of democratic civil transition.

For his part, President Ramafuza expressed his country’s interest in the developments of the situation in Sudan, stressing his commitment to communicating with the actors in the region to study the possible ways of his country in contributing to supporting the efforts to stop the war and participating in the reconstruction operations, taking advantage of the South African experience in building peace and development after conflicts.

And the delegation of “Samoud” continues its official visit to South Africa, where it holds a series of meetings with representatives of the ruling coalition parties, opinion makers, and research centers, as part of his regional and international move to mobilize political and civil support to stop the war in Sudan, support the forces of the revolution, and supporters of democratic civil transformation
