Surprising developments at Cairo International Airport and the authorities raise the maximum degree

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation announced the raising of the maximum level of preparedness at Cairo International Airport and all Egyptian airports, in anticipation of the possibility of receiving transient planes that may have to change their air paths and the emergency landing of airports as a result of regional developments, where the full readiness was emphasized to provide the necessary technical and logistical support for all affected trips.

She pointed out that Cairo International Airport received nine aircraft belonging to foreign airlines at close times for the purpose of refueling, after adjusting their flight tracks as a result of the closure of some of the neighboring air fields. All aircraft took off in record time, after providing the necessary technical and logistical support to complete their flights safely.

She emphasized that in light of the ongoing events and the accelerating tensions in the region, it confirms that the Egyptian airspace is safe and operates naturally, and witnesses regularity in the operating movement according to the highest international standards adopted in the field of air safety.

She said that she was following through the main operations center at Cairo International Airport around the clock, developing the situation, in full coordination with the civil aviation authorities in neighboring countries, after some neighboring countries announced a temporary closure of their air fields as a result of the current conditions in the region.

In light of these developments, EgyptAir announced the cancellation of 3 flights that were heading to Baghdad, Oman and Beirut, until the air fields in those countries were opened.

Dr. Sameh El -Hafni, Minister of Civil Aviation, immediately went to the Operations Center at Cairo Air Airport and the integrated operations center of EgyptAir (IOCC), and also visited the air control tower, to follow up the situation closely and reassure the workflow and regularity of the operating movement.
