The Gedaref Court is the curtain falls on the most famous case in the state and determines the fate of the director of the former governor’s office

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Gedaref Court acquitted the former executive director of the governor of Gedaref, Jeffour McCoy, Daw Al-Bayt, from all charges against him.

The ruling came after lengthy sessions in which the court reviewed the evidence and pleadings, to end the insufficient evidence for his conviction and it is expected that the Jeffour McCoy family will issue the statement of the coming days,

McCoy was represented by the well -known lawyer, Dr. Ali Al -Shayeb, famously known as “Abu Daqn”, who played a pivotal role in refuting the evidence provided against his client, stressing the illegality of the procedures on which the case was built.

The trial of Jeffour Daw Al -Bayt Makkawi, on April 30, witnessed a dramatic session that revealed serious contradictions and procedural suspicions in the corruption communication against the former governor, Mohamed Abdel Rahman, and the CEO of Jeffour McCoy Dhul Iet, during the court listening to the first accusation, which is the state’s general references.

The public references, which prepared the financial report on the communication, stated that the accused, Jeffour, does not sign the checks, noting that the responsibility rests with the financial manager, financial observer, and Al -Rafaf. He acknowledged the existence of an integrated financial course that includes the signature of the manager, references, and the exchange, and the accreditation of the governor.

But under the interrogation of the Chairman of the Defense Authority, Dr. Ali Al -Shayeb Abu Dakan, the auditor acknowledged that the additional accreditation granted to the governor’s office in 2023 amounted to more than 16 times for the original accreditation, as the amount of 1,150,604 pounds was approved, although the basic budget was only 74 million. The references described this as a “mistake”, but he also admitted that he did not include him in his report as a violation.
