She said in a statement that what is being circulated in some digital platforms and social media programs is not related to the truth, and comes in the context of systematic distortion campaigns against Sudanese diplomatic action abroad.

An official source at the embassy said, in a press statement, that the information that has spread widely, and was circulated by those who called them “the sponsors of the digital platforms”, is based on segmented documents, which were presented in a selective and misleading way, without returning to the embassy to take an official clarification, which is a clear violation of the simplest rules of professional media work.

The source confirmed that the embassy followed during the past few days a wide circulation of what it described as “fabricated information”, which relied on an initial version of an unexpected draft, and its estimated value did not exceed the barrier of one million dollars, noting that the document was only a preliminary proposal for a possible cooperation to enhance the mission relations with the American parties, whether formal or informal, which is common in the corridors of international diplomatic work and does not have any illegal or secret nature.

The source stressed that the embassy did not sign any binding agreement with any party or company, denying what was promoted from the presence of a deal or suspicious contract, and he stressed that filming this draft as “illegal activity” is an open attempt to mislead the Sudanese public opinion, and transform the national debate into absurd angles that have nothing to do with the facts of matters.

The source added that the person who broadcast these allegations through his program had previously published false accounts about the activity of the mission and a number of officials in the Transitional Sovereignty Council, without providing evidence or documenting his information with official sources or professional investigations, stressing that these practices come within a campaign that is malicious to undermine the institutions of the Sudanese state abroad.

The source emphasized that the embassy reserves its full right to take the appropriate legal measures it deems appropriate if the systematic distortion campaigns aimed at performing the mission and distorting the image of Sudanese diplomatic action in the United States.
