The UAE is implementing a project among the Sudanese in a neighboring country

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The UAE said it has implemented a new humanitarian initiative in Chad to support the Sudanese refugees, where three thousand food baskets were distributed in the camps of Duke, Allasha and Abu Fis, as well as sending a field medical team to provide health care in the Abu-Fis camp.

She pointed out that this project came in coordination with the Ministry of Social Labor, Solidarity and Humanitarian Affairs, and the National Committee to receive and reintegrate refugees and returnees in Chad, within the framework of joint cooperation to alleviate the suffering of refugees and meet their basic needs.

Fifteen thousand Sudanese refugees have benefited from this relief project, distributed in three main camps, where the Duke camp witnessed the distribution of 1500 food baskets, which benefited 7,500 people, while 1300 baskets were distributed in the Allasha camp, from which 6500 people benefited, and 200 food baskets were distributed in the Abu -Fis camp, from which 1,000 people benefited, with the aim of meeting the needs of these families for a full month, in order to ensure the promotion of security Food and improving living conditions in the targeted camps.

The initiative also witnessed the sending of a medical team to the Abu Al -Ajam camp to provide medical care and services to refugees, which contributed to meeting a basic aspect of their humanitarian needs in light of the difficult conditions they live.

“This initiative is an extension of the UAE’s humanitarian and developmental approach, which places man at the core of his priorities, and confirms the firm commitment of the country to the help of those affected by crises and conflicts, especially in areas that witness collective displacement and harsh human conditions.”

His Excellency added: “The project reflects the UAE’s continuous and reluctant efforts in supporting social and economic stability for the local population in Chad, where such initiatives contribute to enhancing societal cohesion and human solidarity, by providing basic materials that guarantee the provision of decent livelihoods in facing the challenges of regional asylum, and supporting refugee issues in various regions of the world, and working to improve their humanitarian and living conditions, whether by providing direct support or support Through cooperation with international organizations. ”
