Türkiye comments on the appointment of a prime minister in Sudan: “We did not stand idly by”

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Turkish ambassador to Sudan, Fateh Yildiz, said during his participation in Africa Day, that the appointment of a civilian prime minister for the first time since the end of 2021 is an indication of Sudan’s commitment to the road map announced by the President of the Sovereign Council in Sudan.

He pointed out that the ongoing clashes in Sudan caused one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world

He stressed that Türkiye will be at the forefront of countries supporting Sudan during the reconstruction phase and supporting the efforts of the Sudanese government to address the humanitarian crisis in the country

He added, “We did not stand idly by in front of the crisis in Sudan, but rather we continue to preserve bilateral relations despite the difficult circumstances.”
