Urgent recommendation on bridges in Khartoum and contacts with the Turks

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Technical Committee to examine and review bridges in the state of Khartoum submitted a recommendation to accelerate the implementation of urgent works in all bridges and bridges that were affected by the war.

The Director General of the Roads, Bridges and Water Banking Authority, Khartoum State, Eng. Mukhtar Omar Saber, explained that the authority, in coordination with the Supreme Committee for the Study of the Cabbari conditions, submitted proposals in light of the final report of the work of the technical committee, while stating that the National Roads and Bridges Authority is now carrying out the work of re -construction of the major derical in the Al -Jaili region and the Great Kangarie in the Al -Saqai area, north of Bahri.

He also stressed that the Supreme Committee is conducting consultations with the Turks, Yabi, the former Kabbaya contractor, to implement the maintenance work required for the major Halfaya.

There are ongoing contacts with the Egyptian side to enter the major maintenance work of Shambat, and Eng. Mukhtar Omar Saber stressed that the maintenance work of the bridges and the remaining bridges will be offered to local contractors through direct competition.
