She announced that Sudan did not accept these unilateral measures in this regard, which violates the Chemical Weapons Prohibition Agreement, especially by a date that has a history of employing false allegations to threaten the sovereignty of states, their security and the integrity of their lands.

The ministry expressed its surprise at the approach that the American administration followed in this matter, as it started with unknown leaks of the American press months ago carrying these allegations, but it fully avoided that it was raised through the competent international mechanism delegated to this matter; The International Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Blahai, which includes both countries in its membership, and even that Sudan has the membership of its Executive Council.

She noted that the International Convention for the Banning of Chemical Weapons, and both countries signed, specifically organizes procedures for dealing with such allegations and concerns.

“The United States did not take the necessary priority in this case, which is notifying the organization regarding the allegations it mentioned, despite its claim that the alleged use was last year,” the statement added.

The Foreign Ministry affirmed that Sudan has been carrying out its obligations under the agreement, by renewing the notification and lack of production, storage or use of chemical weapons.
