The first comment from the UAE on imposing US sanctions on Sudan

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Anwar Gargash, adviser to the President of the UAE, said that the US sanctions on the Sudanese army because of its use of chemical weapons against its citizens put points on the letters.

In a tweet on the X platform, he stressed that there is no solution except with an immediate cessation of the war and a political path that leads to an independent civilian government.

On Thursday, the United States of America announced that it would impose sanctions on Sudan after it was proven that it was used chemical weapons in 2024, according to a statement issued by it.

The Foreign Ministry stated that these sanctions will include restrictions on American exports and US government credit lines, and will enter into force on about 6 June after a public notice.

She pointed out that the decision, according to the Chemical and Biological Weapons Control Law and its elimination of 1991 (Chemical and Biological Weapons Law)
